Tom Petersen was born and raised in Denmark.  It is there, trapsing through the woods as a child, Tom developped his love, appreciation, and extreme curiosity concerning all living things.  As an adult this curiosity helped shape Tom’s love for diving and underwater creatures as he explored the career of a dive professional and boat captain while living in the Bahamas and Netherlands-Antilles.  This same appreciation guides Tom behind his camera as he strives to capture the surrounding environment and all who inhabit it, sometimes with surprising and astounding results.
